- Put on the user’s walking shoes.
- Have the user stand naturally upright as much as possible.
- Have their arms fall to the sides naturally with a normal relaxed bend at the elbow. (Please see Image for correct posture.)
- Using a tape measure or yard stick, measure the distance from their wrist joint (bottom crease at the wrist) (A) down to the ground. (B) Round up to the nearest half inch. (**For accurate length a second person must read the measurement to prevent the users wrist from moving)

The Root Knob fits into my palm making the walking stick a natural extension of my forearm. I suggest ordering an inch longer than the website advises, you can always saw off a 1/4-inch or 1/2-inch, etc., but if it is too short then you can't add more back.
