This blackthorn walking staff has a natural root knobbed handle that has been buffed and polished to display a perfect smooth finish and sheen. The shaft has been kept in its natural state, but been given a clear shellac to give protection. Each one also comes with a Irish green strap that is attached through the blackthorn for your convenience. The length of this walking staff varies.

I have used this walking stick for the past 8 months. It has performed as well as I had hoped. It's also a conversational piece with several people knowing what it is.
The strap is there as a hanger, not a wrist strap. All in all I am very happy and have put many miles on my purchase.

When I got the cane. the metal cap attached at the end of the cane before the rubber tip (it really doesn't need this if they allowed for a deeper rubber cap with metal insert) wasn't attached well and rattled as I walked. Drove me crazy. I took Gorilla glue and well secured the cap to the cane and then slide the rubber tip back on. I know I may have to re-glue the metal tip so it won't rattle but

The only problem I have found is the rubber tip on the end of the walking staff. There is a metal piece inside that is not glued on and occasionally the tip is not secure. I am going to use a strong adhesive on the the metal piece to secure it to the bottom, then apply the rubber tip. I am sure this will work sufficiently and take care of the problem. Thank you.
