- Put on the user’s walking shoes.
- Have the user stand naturally upright as much as possible.
- Have their arms fall to the sides naturally with a normal relaxed bend at the elbow. (Please see Image for correct posture.)
- Using a tape measure or yard stick, measure the distance from their wrist joint (bottom crease at the wrist) (A) down to the ground. (B) Round up to the nearest half inch. (**For accurate length a second person must read the measurement to prevent the users wrist from moving)

This cane is both stunning and practical. It is "formal" enough for those special occasions and practical for everyday use. It's constructed very well and from my prior experience from less expensive canes, will keep its assurance for a long time.

I now own three canes. This one borders on what I would label "visually stunning." I will use it at an upcoming wedding. I added a narrow brass tip with a rubber bottom that unscrews to expose an ice pick. Winter's been brutal here, so I have been in need of something that will not slide on the ice. This cane is stiff enough to keep me upright, and beautiful enough for any formal attire.
