It has a button that you can press in and have the ability to move the shaft up and down to the correct sizing. However, the best way you can find your measurement is sizing yourself.

I would recommend adjusting it to around 34" to 35" to see if that is a comfortable height for you. You want the cane to be around hip level with your arm slightly bent.
