Shipping Protection Insurance?

Shipping Protection insurance is a service that protects you against lost, damaged, or stolen packages during transit. By selecting this service, your shipping issues will be expedited* for a resolution if an issue occurs.

What is covered:

  •  Lost in transit: If your package is lost in transit, we will open an investigation with the carrier. (If the carrier denies the claim and there is no photographic evidence showing the package was delivered to your doorstep, we will provide a replacement package or refund.)
  •  Damaged in transit: If your package is damaged in transit, we will review and present options to you for replacement parts or a complete replacement item.
  •  Stolen packages during transit: We will cover stolen packages if the package was stolen while in possession of the carrier.

What is not covered:

  •  Stolen packages after delivery: If the carrier provides photographic evidence that your package was delivered to your doorstep, and it is stolen afterwards, this is not covered by our Shipping Protection Insurance.

Important Notes:

    • The expedited time is 14 days from when the claim is issued by the carrier. After 14 days, at our discretion, we will send a replacement item or refund.
    • In rare circumstances, depending on the claim situation, a claim may not be approved.
  • The optional Buyer Protection Insurance fee is 1.5% of your purchase total.

If you experience an issue with your package, please contact us immediately and provide us with your order information and a detailed description of the problem. We will then work with you to resolve the issue as quickly as possible.

Determining the "best" walking cane depends on various factors, including individual needs, preferences, and mobility requirements. Here are some considerations to help you choose the right walking cane:

    1. Adjustability: Look for a cane with adjustable height settings to ensure proper fit and comfort.
    2. Handle: Choose a handle style that suits your grip and provides maximum support. Common handle types include straight, offset, ergonomic, and quad (four-point) handles.
    3. Material: Canes are typically made from aluminum, wood, or carbon fiber. Aluminum canes are lightweight and durable, while wooden canes offer a classic look. Carbon fiber canes are ultra-lightweight and strong but tend to be more expensive.
    4. Tip: The tip of the cane should provide good traction and stability on various surfaces. Rubber tips are standard and provide grip, but there are also specialized tips available for specific needs like extra traction on ice or stability on uneven terrain.
    5. Weight Capacity: Ensure the cane's weight capacity matches your needs, especially if you require additional support.
    6. Foldability: If you need a cane for occasional use or travel, consider a folding cane for convenience.
    7. Additional Features: Some canes come with extra features like LED lights, built-in seats, or wrist straps. Evaluate whether these features would be beneficial for your specific situation.

Ultimately, the best walking cane is one that fits you comfortably, provides the necessary support, and meets your mobility needs. It's often helpful to try out different options in person or consult with a healthcare professional for personalized recommendations.

While both canes and walking sticks are used for support and stability during walking, there are some differences between the two:

    1. Purpose: Canes are primarily designed to provide support and stability for individuals with mobility issues, such as those recovering from injuries or dealing with conditions like arthritis. They often have a handle for gripping and come in various styles to accommodate different needs. Walking sticks, on the other hand, are typically used for hiking, trekking, or recreational walking. They may not always have a handle and are often more ruggedly built for outdoor use.
    2. Handle: Canes typically have a handle designed for ergonomic grip and support, making them easier to hold for extended periods. Walking sticks may have a grip or knob at the top for stability but are not always designed with the same level of ergonomic consideration as canes.
    3. Construction: Canes are usually lightweight and may be adjustable in height to accommodate different users. They may also have additional features such as foldability or adjustable wrist straps. Walking sticks are often made of heavier materials like wood or metal to withstand outdoor conditions and rough terrain. They may have features like wrist straps or shock-absorbing mechanisms to enhance comfort during hiking.
    4. Aesthetics: Canes often come in a variety of styles, colors, and designs to suit individual preferences. Walking sticks may have a more rustic or natural appearance, often made from materials like wood or bamboo and may feature decorative elements such as carvings or handcrafted designs.

While there is some overlap in functionality between canes and walking sticks, their design, construction, and intended use distinguish them from each other. Ultimately, the choice between a cane and a walking stick depends on individual needs, preferences, and intended use.

For optimal balance support, consider the following types of canes:

    1. Quad Canes: Quad canes have a base with four prongs, providing a wider footprint and enhanced stability compared to single-point canes. They are particularly beneficial for individuals who require extra support and balance assistance.
    2. Offset Canes: Offset canes feature a handle that is set slightly off-center from the shaft, creating a more natural alignment for the wrist and forearm. This design can improve comfort and stability while walking.
    3. Adjustable Canes: Adjustable canes allow you to customize the height to your specific needs, ensuring proper alignment and support for maintaining balance.
    4. Ergonomic Handle Canes: Canes with ergonomic handles are designed to fit the natural contours of the hand, reducing strain and fatigue during use. This can contribute to better balance control and comfort.
    5. Folding Canes: Folding canes are convenient for travel and storage and can be easily folded when not in use. Look for models with sturdy locking mechanisms to ensure stability when unfolded.
    6. Lightweight Canes: Lightweight canes are easier to maneuver and carry, which can be advantageous for individuals who may have limited strength or mobility.

Ultimately, the best cane for balance will depend on your individual needs, preferences, and mobility requirements. It's often helpful to try out different types of canes to see which one provides the most stability and comfort for you. Additionally, consulting with a healthcare professional or physical therapist can offer personalized recommendations based on your specific balance challenges.

The ideal length of a walking cane depends on your height and individual needs. Here's a general guideline for determining the correct cane length:

    1. Standing Position: Stand upright in your usual walking shoes with your arms relaxed at your sides.
    2. Measurement: Have someone measure the distance from your wrist joint (where your wrist creases when you bend it) to the floor. Alternatively, you can measure it yourself with your arm hanging naturally at your side and a slight bend in your elbow.
    3. Adjustment: The top of the cane should ideally line up with the crease of your wrist when your arm is hanging by your side. This ensures that the cane provides proper support and stability while walking.
    4. Cutting or Adjusting: If the cane is too long, it can be trimmed to the appropriate length. Most canes come with adjustable height settings or can be cut to size if necessary. If you're unsure about adjusting the length yourself, you can seek assistance from a healthcare professional or a mobility aid specialist.

It's essential to ensure that your walking cane is the correct length to provide optimal support and stability while walking. Using a cane that is too long or too short can compromise your balance and increase the risk of falls. Adjusting the cane to the proper length can significantly improve comfort and mobility.

Choose 1 of these 3 easy methods of cane sizing before placing your order

    1. Measure Existing Cane

Simply take an existing cane, and measure from the lowest part of the top of the handle to the bottom of the tip. Round up to the nearest half inch.

    2. Measure the Cane User

    1. Have the user put on their walking shoes.
    2. User should stand naturally upright as much as possible.
    3. Let their arms fall to the sides naturally with a normal relaxed bend at the elbow. (see Diagram A for correct posture)
    4. Using a tape measure or yard stick, measure the distance from their wrist joint (bottom crease at the wrist) down to the floor. Round up to the nearest half inch.
(**For accurate length a second person must read measurement to prevent wrist from moving)

    3. Measure Half the Height of the User

If the user is not available or does not have an existing cane, use this method.
Although this works for most cane users it is not always exact. Choose this option at your own risk, and remember a 30% restocking fee applies to all returned cut canes.
Most users cane measurements will be within one inch of half the users height.
    1. Convert height into inches: Example user height is 5'6" which is 66 inches. 66 divided in half = 33 inches (always round up to the nearest half inch).
    2. Add half an inch to this measurement to get 33.5 inches.
    3. After receiving product use step #2 to confirm and change size if needed.
