The upper interior of the Lucite section on the shaft has a series of white stripes to create better light reflection. The light is automatically turned on when it senses vibration from walking. This blinking light radiates an attractive orange-red aura. The light may be easily removed if someone would not want to use the light while walking. This walking stick would be wonderful for taking late night walks or walking down an unlit hallway.

This cane is so cool! I used it Christmas Eve at a Whoville party. Give it time to warm up before it lights. I use my cane for balance and found you have to hit the ground a little harder than usual for it to light. You can also adjust tightness after putting bulb/battery in cane to affect lighting.
