Quick Sizing Guide

If this cane offers free sizing (look for the checkbox under "Add to Cart"), it's optional: choose your height, or skip it and your cane ships at its standard length.

Not sure? Order the standard length. Most canes can be shortened at home once you know the right size.

Cut canes can be exchanged, with a $15 restocking fee.

Adjustable canes set to your height, and fixed-length canes (like sword canes) can't be cut. Their fit is listed under Product Details.

3 ways to find your cane length
1. Measure the cane user (most accurate) Tap to open
Measuring from the wrist crease to the floor

In walking shoes, stand upright with arms relaxed at your sides, and measure from the wrist crease to the floor. A second person reading the tape gives the best result.

If your measurement is exactly a whole or half inch (like 34" or 34½"), order that size. If it's in between (like 34¼"), round up to the next half inch (34½").

2. Measure a cane that already fits Tap to open

Measure from the lowest point on top of the handle to the bottom of the tip. Use your exact measurement if it's a whole or half inch. Otherwise, round up to the next half inch.

3. Estimate from your height Tap to open

Your cane length is about half your height. Example: 5'6" is 66 inches, so 33". It works for most people but isn't exact, so measure when your cane arrives.

Shortening it yourself

Most canes can be shortened at home. Remove the tip, cut the extra length off the bottom, and put the tip back on. Canes can be shortened but not lengthened. Don't cut umbrella, sword, or seat canes, or any cane marked not to be sized.

    Perfect Quality

This Walking Stick was purchased as a Christmas gift for my wife. She is over-the-top happy with this purchase. It is light weight and strong. Thank you, Fashionable Canes.

    Great Walking Staff

Feels great I’m the hand, perfect length, and looks amazing. I use it on the stairs just for added confidence and take it with me most places I go just in case we decide to go for a long walk while out.

Much more comfortable than a cane. It allows me to walk upright and not bent over. I think it was an excellent purchase.

It was disappointing to receive what couldbe such a lovely product with such a shoddy finish. The shaving of the end of the stick to fit the combi-tip is rough, even and there was no attempt to finish it with the continuation of the stain. I paid too much for such carelessness.
