Wenge is a very distinctive looking wood. Wenge wood's heartwood is dark brown, almost black with fine pencil-thin, light tan to blackish brown stripes. This wood has a very classy appearance, great for everyday or nighttime attire. It takes a special cutting skill to makes these lines more visible know as a 'quarter sawn surface'. The shiny silver collar is a simple accent that helps give this cane its distinguished character. The surface of this wood has been sanded and finished to resist against cracking, splintering and damage from outdoor elements.
