Quick Sizing Guide

If this cane offers free sizing (look for the checkbox under "Add to Cart"), it's optional: choose your height, or skip it and your cane ships at its standard length.

Not sure? Order the standard length. Most canes can be shortened at home once you know the right size.

Cut canes can be exchanged, with a $15 restocking fee.

Adjustable canes set to your height, and fixed-length canes (like sword canes) can't be cut. Their fit is listed under Product Details.

3 ways to find your cane length
1. Measure the cane user (most accurate) Tap to open
Measuring from the wrist crease to the floor

In walking shoes, stand upright with arms relaxed at your sides, and measure from the wrist crease to the floor. A second person reading the tape gives the best result.

If your measurement is exactly a whole or half inch (like 34" or 34½"), order that size. If it's in between (like 34¼"), round up to the next half inch (34½").

2. Measure a cane that already fits Tap to open

Measure from the lowest point on top of the handle to the bottom of the tip. Use your exact measurement if it's a whole or half inch. Otherwise, round up to the next half inch.

3. Estimate from your height Tap to open

Your cane length is about half your height. Example: 5'6" is 66 inches, so 33". It works for most people but isn't exact, so measure when your cane arrives.

Shortening it yourself

Most canes can be shortened at home. Remove the tip, cut the extra length off the bottom, and put the tip back on. Canes can be shortened but not lengthened. Don't cut umbrella, sword, or seat canes, or any cane marked not to be sized.

Inspired to create a chair where the back and arms are moulded from a single piece of plywood

Inspired to create a chair where the back and arms are moulded from a single piece of plywood, Hecht and Colin describe employing a process similar to that a tailor might use to cut a pattern in fabric. This approach resulted in the beautiful structure wherein the moulded back and arms component is supported by a simple A-frame wood dowel construction. One of the benefits of this design is an increase in comfort due to natural movement in the plywood back.

Why Customers Love It
Customers say this cane holder helps keep their canes accessible and upright at tables. Many find it useful in restaurants and at home, though experiences vary with cane size. The spring clip draws mixed feedback - some note it's very tight and challenging to open, while others appreciate its secure grip. Common observations include its compact size and table-edge versatility. Some mention it works better with thinner canes, as wider ones may cause slipping or popping off. While most find it functional, several note size compatibility is a key consideration.

    A quality item

It works on most of my canes but tends to slide on some.

Great holder for My in-House Cane

I have several canes and have trouble keeping track of the one I use around the house. This helps. I'm able to put this on a table or desk, and the cane is at hand.

    Works Pretty Well!

This is a great idea because it will certainly keep the cane from falling over. It does prop up on tables well and the part on the table is padded to prevent scratches. I like that you can put it anywhere along the cane, but I did notice that it did slip a bit on one of the canes it was on. It only slipped a bit, but I will keep an eye on that in the future to make sure it doesn't get worse. Still love the product - flexible and fits my needs perfectly!
