Why we love it
The deep reddish brown wood this walking cane is made of is naturally perfect. Padauk wood is a gorgeous wood that has a natural reddish color. A six inch section of the shaft has been spiral cut to look like the wood is twisted like a rope. The entire shaft is sanded and varnished to really make the rope effect stand out. The wood grain is subtle but can be seen throughout the shaft and derby handle. This cane would be a gorgeous additional to any walking cane collection or anyone that wants a unique cane for their daily use.

Beautiful piece of craftsmanship. Very elegant design, and the dark reddish wood is a truly classic hue that ages well and adds a touch of class to any outfit. My only disappointment was with the cloth adhesive "Royal Canes" label attached to the top of the stalk. I had previously purchased another cane with this label, and the writing wore off after very little use, so I removed the sticker. This is no fault of Fashionable Canes; rather, the manufacturer should not have adhered such a cheap logo on such a beautiful product. In my opinion, an engraved or cast metal logo affixed with two small screws would last the life of the cane and be consistent with the care and perfection applied to the rest of the cane.
