3 ways to find your cane length
1. Measure the cane user (most accurate) Tap to open
In walking shoes, stand upright with arms relaxed at your sides, and measure from the wrist crease to the floor. A second person reading the tape gives the best result.
If your measurement is exactly a whole or half inch (like 34" or 34½"), order that size. If it's in between (like 34¼"), round up to the next half inch (34½").
2. Measure a cane that already fits Tap to open
Measure from the lowest point on top of the handle to the bottom of the tip. Use your exact measurement if it's a whole or half inch. Otherwise, round up to the next half inch.
3. Estimate from your height Tap to open
Your cane length is about half your height. Example: 5'6" is 66 inches, so 33". It works for most people but isn't exact, so measure when your cane arrives.

The cane/sword is excellent except for the ferrule. There is a stainless sleeve that has some sort of rubbery plastic inside; the width of the very bottom is probably about an inch--not the classic ferrule for a cane. It can be modified, and the shortness of the sword would allow for quite a bit of sizing--IN MY PRELIMINARY OPINION. Should you undertake to modify the product (the Wire Wrapped Tanto Blade Sword Cane) it's on your penny and be aware of course that modifications invalidate warranties. That said, sharpening it is a lot of work. It is less sharp on arrival than a butter knife, including the tip. I have seen worse. The metal is excellent.
