- Let your arms fall to your sides naturally with a normal relaxed bend at the elbow.
- Using a tape measure or yard stick, measure the distance from your wrist joint (bottom crease at the wrist) down to the floor. Round up to the nearest half inch.

I recently had surgery and needed a cane during my recuperation. I searched on line and discovered Fashionable Canes. Their website is well organized and features a wide variety of canes in different price ranges and materials.
I really liked the beautiful Bocote wood cane. The pictures showed lovely grain patterns. It was sold as scratched and dented. I was pleasantly surprised when the cane arrived. The couple of blemishes are very minor and not really noticeable.
