- Stand naturally upright as much as possible.
- Let your arms fall to your sides naturally with a normal relaxed bend at the elbow.
- Using a tape measure or yard stick, measure the distance from your wrist joint (bottom crease at the wrist) down to the floor. Round up to the nearest half inch.

This is a very great cane. I am very happy with it. It is made of "hard chestnut wood" and is beautiful. It is also not expensive. The cane was a little too long, so I had the Superintendent of my building cut about five inches off the bottom, then put back the rubber bottom. It is a good idea to buy extra bottom tips, for they last long but when they go, it is hard to find one in the store. I guess I can always buy them from FASHIONABLECANES.COM.
