- Using a tape measure or yard stick, measure the distance from your wrist joint (bottom crease at the wrist) down to the floor. Round up to the nearest half inch.

Buy this/these. I have 2 canes I primarily use so when one cane looked a bit more used, I tried using the less used cane for a while. Do yourself, and a couple of canes, a favor. The tip fits perfectly. The surface protects against ice slippage quite well. Only two minor quibbles. (1) The web site should specify that the diameter applies to the end that goes into the cane and not the end that contacts the ground. I had to phone the vendor to get this clarified. (2) I had difficulty assessing whether the tip was fully inserted into the cane.
