Quick Sizing Guide
If this cane offers free sizing (look for the checkbox under "Add to Cart"), it's optional: choose your height, or skip it and your cane ships at its standard length.
Not sure? Order the standard length. Most canes can be shortened at home once you know the right size.
Cut canes can be exchanged, with a $15 restocking fee.
Adjustable canes set to your height, and fixed-length canes (like sword canes) can't be cut. Their fit is listed under Product Details.
3 ways to find your cane length
1. Measure the cane user (most accurate) Tap to open
In walking shoes, stand upright with arms relaxed at your sides, and measure from the wrist crease to the floor. A second person reading the tape gives the best result.
If your measurement is exactly a whole or half inch (like 34" or 34½"), order that size. If it's in between (like 34¼"), round up to the next half inch (34½").
2. Measure a cane that already fits Tap to open
Measure from the lowest point on top of the handle to the bottom of the tip. Use your exact measurement if it's a whole or half inch. Otherwise, round up to the next half inch.
3. Estimate from your height Tap to open
Your cane length is about half your height. Example: 5'6" is 66 inches, so 33". It works for most people but isn't exact, so measure when your cane arrives.
| User's height | Cane length |

Shortening it yourself
Most canes can be shortened at home. Remove the tip, cut the extra length off the bottom, and put the tip back on. Canes can be shortened but not lengthened. Don't cut umbrella, sword, or seat canes, or any cane marked not to be sized.

- Linda L.Verified BuyerReviewingExquisite Rhinestone Pearlz Adjustable Orthopedic Derby CaneRated 5 out of 5 starsI’m going to be a Fancy Pants using this one!
Well I wish I could get a prong tip in white for this cane because I am going on a cruise and it looks so swanky! But I guess I will just have to be POSH with it like it is! Thanks for sending it off so quickly!
- Linda L.Verified BuyerReviewingThe Night Garden Designer Cane: Patterned Derby HandleRated 5 out of 5 starsI really like the light weight of this one!
This is the cane that we put the spread tip on. Nice and light. Easy to maneuver. I’m ordering one to leave in the car.
- Tammy N.Verified BuyerReviewingWatercolor Bird: Designer Derby Cane with Patterned HandleRated 5 out of 5 starsvery nice
I like this one. The birds are pretty and the cane itself is sturdy and reliable.
- Ray S.Verified BuyerReviewingGolden Cross: Elegance & Comfort - Wooden HandleRated 5 out of 5 starsVery nice cane.
I do like this cane. I must admit it is a thinner cane than I anticipated. It looks nice and will be a good conversation piece. A great way to share your faith. I also like that the cane is quiet. Most adjustable canes I have owned get a bit "clanky" over time. You hear the cane hitting against itself. Not so with this cane.
