Quick Sizing Guide

If this cane offers free sizing (look for the checkbox under "Add to Cart"), it's optional: choose your height, or skip it and your cane ships at its standard length.

Not sure? Order the standard length. Most canes can be shortened at home once you know the right size.

Cut canes can be exchanged, with a $15 restocking fee.

Adjustable canes set to your height, and fixed-length canes (like sword canes) can't be cut. Their fit is listed under Product Details.

3 ways to find your cane length
1. Measure the cane user (most accurate) Tap to open
Measuring from the wrist crease to the floor

In walking shoes, stand upright with arms relaxed at your sides, and measure from the wrist crease to the floor. A second person reading the tape gives the best result.

If your measurement is exactly a whole or half inch (like 34" or 34½"), order that size. If it's in between (like 34¼"), round up to the next half inch (34½").

2. Measure a cane that already fits Tap to open

Measure from the lowest point on top of the handle to the bottom of the tip. Use your exact measurement if it's a whole or half inch. Otherwise, round up to the next half inch.

3. Estimate from your height Tap to open

Your cane length is about half your height. Example: 5'6" is 66 inches, so 33". It works for most people but isn't exact, so measure when your cane arrives.

Shortening it yourself

Most canes can be shortened at home. Remove the tip, cut the extra length off the bottom, and put the tip back on. Canes can be shortened but not lengthened. Don't cut umbrella, sword, or seat canes, or any cane marked not to be sized.

    Beautiful

It’s such a beautiful piece that I’m going to purchase another. The toothpick is quite convenient.

This is a very nice stick in all respects, but be aware that if you are under 6 feet it's probably too long to function as a walking cane.

    My New Favorite Cane

WOW! This cane is SO SPECIAL! Not only is it beautiful and elegant, but even the sword has a great decoration on it. I actually had a chance to display it recently when I had it with me at a restaurant at which I was eating. Someone asked me about it, so I was able to draw the sword and show it off. Didn't get to use it, though. To make a long story short, I have now something like eight canes and this one is DEFINITELY my favorite!
