The handle has beautiful streaks of black and orange with air bubbles inside to mimic real Amber. The shaft is made of hard beechwood and has a black sealled acrylic finish. Along with the stylish brass ring collar, this palm grip cane is designed to follow the contours of your hand and comes in either a left or right handed grips. It hadd some scratches on the side of the palm grip, not sure if that is the way is supposed tobe, but very comfortable on my hand and do not need much pressure.

It's beautiful and just as I expected it, BUT I guess my hands are a bit bigger than average. I'm a tall woman with long fingers and the palm grip just isn't the right size for my palm. I'm going to keep trying and hope that I get used to the cane (just like a new pair of shoes). I tried to find a palm grip cane locally to try out before I ordered but had no luck. As I had the cane monogrammed I cannot return it. Love everything else about this cane!
